Individual action -- but is there a role for institutions? Can we trust them?
We have to take them over, we have to make them work. Government is the only instrument we have to fight GAFA.
Changes in Spain. It was strange to see an institution with public funds ... to solidify infrastructure, we need institutions.
we need to find back the role of institutes / re-apropriate them. But often they are in trouble already; research is sponsored so they are not independent.
It will not be possible. Politics has emptied out institutions. Hard to reverse. De-politicising institutions is a political (neo-liberal) project. Innovation. Re-invent instutions.
