Saint Exupery in the Public Domain
Everybody in Europe can access, download, and enjoy the works of the French author Antoine de Saint-Exupery.
In Europe, these works are in the public domain as of the first of January 2015, 70 years after the author died in 1944.
Can really all Europeans download these works?
well ... no ...
WARNING !
If you are reading this website in France, national author-right law forbids you to go further.
The reason is, that the author rights on works of artists who died for France in wartime are prolonged with thirty years.
This exception applies to the case for Saint Exupery. You can read this article for more details. (link to article Séverine)
We find this is a confusing situation, but we can nevertheless offer you two solutions:
1. Cross the border to Belgium, where you will have all rights to benefit from the freedoms of the public domain.
2. We invite you to revisit this website in 2045. Au plaisir de vous revoir !
