Dusty times demand group action!

We are arranging a first "tryout" group cleaning session to tackle the task of cleaning up the corridors of the 6th floor. Currently the corridors are not part of what gets cleaned by the weekly cleaning service. We have asked the cleaner for a quotation of what it would cost to also do the corridors. At the same time, we will try out what it takes to clean the corridors ourselves (in terms of the time it takes, the equipment it needs, and how often it would be necessary to do).

We will meet at 15:00 on Friday the 6th of September. Motivational music will be provided.

All are welcome!

people + time needed
RESULTS/comments from today...
A good number of people showed up -- around 6-8!
We decided to make PAIR TEAMS of a SWEEPER (someone to vacuum clean/Hoover or broom) and a MOPPER following the sweeper with a wet mop.
It seems that a "corridor" can easily be handled by a team of 2 in around 30 minutes. With 3 teams we finished the floor in around 45 minutes.

equipment
We used equipment from the different orgs/people on the floor:
Constant: Vacuum cleaner (which sadly died / overheated in the process ... hopefully not permanent damage)
                    1 x MOP
    OSP: 1 MOP
            detergent
            1 replacement vacuum cleaner
    Pablo: Broom
Arzu: 1 x MOP (borrowed vacuum and 2 mopps + bucket from OVERTOON)

I think it was a good experience -- reclaiming the space -- making contact between the groups, and not too much effort. Not sure how long the dust stays away, but I'd do it again.

aRzu: postive for me, too. I think the 45min can be reduced, we took some time to decide how to go about it. If its clear who does what it can be done in 30min max. I would also do it again. Also it was kind of nice how we just suddenly crawled out of our booths, did an action together and then flacked away again.
I suggest we call the action "falshMOPPing" and do it on the regular!
