Draft:

SYBIL⌂ is a new space for creative game design opening in early March 2025 in Berlin. At the heart of Sybil is a desire to bring together artists, game developers, researchers, storytellers, and those who wander the edges of games, play, and speculative systems.

As part of our inaugural cycle — (Rasmus fLOWER here+stem) — we are offering 10 free workspaces to those working in speculative systems, ludic ecologies, narrative design, experimental interfaces, weird infrastructure, or something yet unnamed. Practices that defy clear definition but orbit the gravitational pull of games.
Whether your work leans toward public or private modes, or simply needs room to develop in quiet — there are no fixed timelines, no questlines, and no final bosses. Expect a self-directed environment shaped by the people who inhabit it.

We offer:
    •    24/7 free access to the studio facilities
    •    Desk spaces and conference booths with ample room and natural light
    •    Barrier-free ground-floor access and wheelchair accessible bathrooms
    •    Opportunities to host events such as LAN parties, film screenings, playtests, talks, and more
    •    Access to Sybil’s book library, unlimited coffee, and other usual amenities

We’re open to proposals that feel incomplete or in-progress. We welcome both solo wanderers, duos and collectives. If your work resonates with the terrain we’re mapping, we want to hear from you.

Applications Deadline: 5 May
To apply: There are no rigid formats. Send a short statement of interest, along with anything else you feel is relevant (portfolio, fragments, outlines, links, images, poems) to sara@sybil.gg
