Installing GNU Radio:
let's go for PENTOO
(alike mossmann https://github.com/mossmann/hackrf/wiki/Getting-Started-with-HackRF-and-GNU-Radio)
--> download (4GB...) eg.

the torrent file listed is dead-end... tracker encoded in the torrent is not happy...
--> dd this to a usb-stick (or use unetbootin or alike if you want a gui)
--> quickly tested pentoo 2015.0 - grc is version 3.7.8 - osmocom/rtlsdr works out of the box so we're good to go
keyfobs / weatherstation / ... take it all :-)
