Isabelle Arvers, Machinima (2015)
"These interviews are excerpted from a work-in-progress. It’s a  machinima documentary that I’m making from a game engine, photos taken  in the Calais jungle and interviews with the residents from February  6-20, 2016. Notwithstanding, France’s Pas-de-Calais prefecture issued an expulsion order regarding  the jungle’s south section that expired on February 23. The entire  camp has been nicknamed the “jungle”, as this land was originally a  hunting field, and the lack of basic support from the local authorities has transformed people into animals…" https://youtu.be/eIqX2iclEts

Jacolby Satterwhite Country Ball (2012)
Country Ball is Satterwhite's attempt to recreate a home video from the late 80’s of a family picknick. He traced 35 drawings by his mother that illustrated outdoor recreational utilities, and imported them into a 3D program. Sattlewhite himself performs in front of the camera and a green screen a hundred times; later he inserts those videos into the virtual space to create a “Garden of Earthly Delights”.

Wu Tsang, The Shape of a Right Statement (2008)
In The Shape of a Right Statement (2008), Wu Tsang reenacts Amanda Baggs's 2007 YouTube manifesto In My Language, in which she speaks out in the interests of an understanding, the personhood and the  rights of autistic people. Here, rather than merely reciting, he  imitates the intonation, pacing, and enunciation of Baggs's computerized  voiceover by means of a theatrical performance technique that he  describes as "full body quotation." The idea behind this mimicry, which  is as precise as possible, is to raise questions about the authenticity  and intention of speakers and to enable different readings of the  original content via a contextual shift. Tsang's appropriation and  embodiment, exploring the linguistic structures behind many forms of  discrimination, transforms the initially specific call for autism rights  into a multilayered statement, relatable to many ‘Others’”. Zach Blas Facial Weaponization Communiqué: Fag Face
The Facial Weaponization Suite develops forms of collective and artistic protest against biometric facial recognition–and the inequalities these technologies propagate–by making masks in community-based workshops that are used for public intervention. One mask, the Fag Face Mask, is a response to scientific studies that attempt to build models based on tests where people « accurately » define sexual orientation after looking at a face for 0.5 milliseconds. This mask is generated from the biometric facial data of many queer men’s faces, resulting in a mutated, alien facial mask that cannot be read or parsed by biometric facial recognition technologies. http://vimeo.com/57882032

Jesse Kanda & Arca TRAUMA (part 1) (2013)
Trauma  is an ongoing film project by Jesse Kanda and Arca first partially  exhibited at MoMA PS1 at the end of 2013. The film follows a nonlinear  narrative about the death of a salaryman, a drunk driving infant and  takes place within a subconscious world. TRAUMA's score will span  through Arca's existing and future works.
Scene 1 depicts a trio  of disfigured children locked in synchronised dance, celebrating their  inner and outer beauty in the limelight. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NApVOHrbhqg

Tale of Tales The Graveyard (2008)
The Graveyard is a very short computer game designed by Auriea Harvey and Michaël Samyn. You play an old woman who visits a graveyard. You walk around, sit on a bench and listen to a song. It's more like an explorable painting than an actual game. An experiment with realtime poetry, with storytelling without words.

Wendy Vain Madcatlady (selection, 2008-2014)
Wendy Vain describes herself as « a hobby animation software user, using ready made content, just having fun on my computer and sharing. » Using her favorite tools such as Carrara by Daz3d, Poser7 and iClone she created an extensive universe of humorous, razor-sharp comments on the dramas of her own life, including her experiences as a much followed video artist on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/user/wendyvainity

Gabriel Ann Maher DE___SIGN
"Design presents a distorted system of gender representation. Using the vehicle  of the media it contributes to the establishment of gender norms,  through the production of cultural artefacts. This research seeks to extend the current discourse on design and gender by exploring this  relationship beyond the binary of male and female, and positioning the  exploration within a framework of queer theory. The aim is to  deconstruct the gendered meanings inherent in these systems of  representation, and explore the condition of the ‘mediated body’ in  design. This is done through an act of DE___SIGN, which searches for and  pulls apart a complex system of signs related to gender. The visual  language of gendered signs is used to present and describe a collection  of reappropriated cultural artefacts. Research and design come together in a performance that demonstrates how gender is constructed and how it can be reconstructed."

Martha Rosler Vital Statistics of a Citizen, Simply Obtained (1977, 58'')
In this classic work, Rosler voices her disapproval of mainstream ideas of the « tyranny of expectations. » What appears at first as a routine  checkup, soon evolves into a cruel assessment of the woman’s physical characteristics, and the measurements taken of her body are deemed as either « below standard, standard, or above standard.»
