Portrait of a community

OSP

osp.kitchen

How to portray the multi-faceted 'community' that makes up LGM since ten years? Is it a melting pot as Dave Neary stated in 2006 and if not, than what is it? OSP produced two sets of laser-cut party decorations, visualising the intricate network of people and projects present at LGM in the last decade. Some have only passed by once, others presented virtually every year. Let's celebrate!

Christoph Haag

libregraphicsmeeting.org/2013/r+w

For LGM 2013 at Medialab Prado in Madrid, Christoph Haag produced an on-line tool that allowed participants to formulate questions and answers about LGM and Libre Graphics in general. These were used to generate posters for the event, and for an animated svg displayed on the electronic facade of Medialab Prado's brand new building.

Conversations is an extensive collection of conversations between developers and designers involved in the wider ecosystem of Libre Graphics. Speaking to each other about tools for typography, lay-out and image processing, they render a portrait of a community gradually understanding the interdependencies between Free Software and design. Edited by Femke Snelting in collaboration with Christoph Haag, published by Constant (Brussels, 2015).
